Big Telly’s Little Telly
It’s new, and it’s for now – the strange times of the COVID19.
Because of the understanding and flexibility of one of our funders The Esmee Fairbairn Foundation https://www.esmeefairbairn.org.uk, we are offering artists ways to make work, create together and reach out to help connect people and communities who are apart, isolating, isolated.
This project is all about creating the first of hopefully more Little Telly digital ensembles. New and familiar artists working together on small pieces of work that will go out on little screens everywhere – live and interactive.
For us, it’s an experiment. A reach into the unknown – because that’s what we need to do right now. And Big Telly have never been afraid to try something new .. because we learn, we grow and we get better at it. Artists are our lifeblood, and we want to support them.
This funding has come from our Creative Shops programme. In normal circumstances, it would all be happening in an empty shop somewhere on a high street in Northern Ireland. But, now, we intend to follow the same aims of inclusion, participation, access to arts activity and experience – but online! Why not.
Keep an eye on out social media for what’s coming on the Little Telly, and if you’re an artist who loves immersive, inclusive, live and getting people involved … apply!! All details are here ..?http://www.quauqsystem.com.cn/little-telly-opens-little-commissions/
